Highlight Reel
For Newsies, I built a gritty, turn-of-the-century visual brand that channeled the energy of New York’s 1899 newsboy strike. The campaign combined sepia-toned cityscapes, bold distressed typography, and silhouetted protest imagery to evoke both the historical setting and the show’s rebellious spirit. Merchandise designs, including screen-printed Comfort Colors shirts and Liberty Bags tote bags, extended the aesthetic beyond the stage and gave audiences a way to carry the production’s energy with them. Social media content mixed reels, hype countdowns, cast features, and layered graphic designs to build anticipation and immerse followers in the world of the show before curtain.
instagram reels
I wanted to make this production
feel fun and connect with our
audience members, who are
primarily college students. So I
did a series of fun and trendy
Instagram reels to promote the show
and encourage people to come
see it! This also made the production
feel more authentic and enticing
for college students to come see.
Merchandise Design
I created shirts and tote bags to give to all cast and crew members, as well as sell at the shows. These both used the same gritty font and logo, and the tote bag included an iconic Newsies quote, while also feeling like your very own newspaper bag!

ACTOR HIGHLIGHT POSTS
Curtain Up Theatre Camp wanted to highlight all the incredible kids involved in the production, so we took headshots of all the kids and created an instagram template that then allowed us to feature all the performers on the Curtain Up Instagram! This also helped sell more tickets as the cast and crew was reposting themselves as well as their friends in the cast, growing our reach organically

ABOUT THe show
A raging storm at sea sets the stage for magic, revenge, and redemption in Shakespeare’s The Tempest. On a remote, enchanted island, the exiled Duchess Prospera, once overthrown by her own brother, uses her command of the elements to shipwreck her enemies on her shores. With her devoted daughter Miranda, the airy spirit Ariel, and the rebellious islander Caliban, Prospera orchestrates a master plan to restore her rightful place in the world. Amidst mistaken identities, supernatural illusions, and a budding romance between Miranda and the castaway Ferdinand, alliances shift and truths come to light. By journey’s end, Prospera must choose between vengeance and forgiveness, making The Tempest a timeless tale of power, love, and the transformative magic of mercy.
